Kayak for a Cure™ announces Victoria, BC Charity Event
Vancouver, BC (June 1, 2008) - Kayak for a Cure™, a non-profit kayaking organization founded in British Columbia announced today that it will be making two additions to its annual fundraising events through North America.
“We’re excited to announce that Victoria, BC and Columbus, Ohio will hold annual events to raise money for research through an annual charity kayaking event”, shared Whitney Stanford, a local volunteer for Kayak for a Cure™. “It’s important to us that we continue to grow our organization and increase our volunteer staff allowing us to raise more and more money for charities close to our hearts.”
Kayak for a Cure™ Victoria will hit the water on August 10th, 2008 in British Columbia. All funds that are raised through the event will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society. “I’m very excited that our team now has an event on the island. There’s a wonderful kayaking community here in Victoria and we really believe Kayak for a Cure™ will be an annual success for local paddlers that want to give back and raise money for a worthy cause.” Shared Mark Starkey, Kayak for a Cure™ Founder.
On August 10th, 2008, Mark, Whitney and thirty other hardy souls will take to the waters in Victoria to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society through the annual charity kayaking event.
